With a bus stop right at the top of the road into the parking lot of this course it is really accessible to all. A wide open course without a tonne of trees it is really forgiving if you're a terrible golfer like me and still offers a challenge for a more accomplished golfer. I still like Fraserview and McCleery more than Langara when it comes to the municipal courses owned by the Parks Board but Langara is still fun and makes for a great day of golf!Lire plus
McCleery is nestled in the Southlands of Vancouver and is a fabulous course for a fabulous price. Bounded by tony riding estates and the Fraser River, McCleery is a calm oasis for a relaxing...or in my case not so relaxing...game of golf. The course is rewarding to the accurate golfer and punishing to the not so accurate golfer but in all ways its a lot of fun. If you show up in advance of your tee-time there is a fantastic driving range and the rates at the range are pretty reasonable. If you have time after your round the club house is great and offer a variety of food choices and of course a range of beverages to wash down your food. The patio is great and sitting out there you would never believe you are only 20 minutes from the bustling centre of the city. For a great round of golf at a great price head over to McCleery!Lire plus
...or a hacker like me. Central Park Pitch and Putt is located at the south side of Central Park and Burnaby and is a great way to spend a Saturday afternoon. The course is good and the tall trees all around you add to the fun of playing. I am not a fan of the condition of the mats in the "tee-boxes" but all in all its a good little pitch and putt course.Lire plus
