Will never go to this restaurant again. The Chinese waitress is so rude and keep insisting me to speak Chinese. They have Ginseng chicken soup but required pre-order 5hrs. When I phone to order before heading to the restaurant they force me to order 2 Ginseng chicken soups else they don't serve in a rude manner way. They made a fool out of me by suggesting that I can come to the restaurant and order the soup and sit there wait for 5hrs so that I will be able to order only 1. Why they even ha

Good food does not make up for the awful services !

This restaurant offers authentic Korean food and one of the best Gamjatang in the city but the servers' attitudes are too much for me to withstand! Out of all the times I've visited this restaurant, I've never seen a smile on the servers' faces. I always tip at restaurants but their services have been so poor that I stopped tipping so they ended up secretly overcharging me!!!

Can't get enough of it

We go there at least once per week. The bulgugy beef is the best I have eaten in my life. I can't get enough of it. I haven't tried the other dishes as they scare me a bit. Appetizers are excellent also.

The best Korean food in Ottawa

It doesn't matter if this place gets negative reviews, it will always be busy because it's delicious. Try the kimchi fried rice! It's sooooooo good!

Slow!

I came to this restaurant with my family, and even thought we were the ONLY table there, the service can be better. We almost waited one hour for our food to come. Other than one of the worst service, the food is quiet descent.

Really good food! Super fast service when it's not busy. I had a long piece of hair in my food when I ordered pork the one day. Beware! But the soups are good! Kimchi is #1 in Ottawa! Most likely the best Korean restaurant in Ottawa.

Korean Comfort

For those who have yet to discover the spicy flavours of Korea or those familiar with Korean cuisine, I highly recommend this little gem just off Rideau Street for excellent value and as close to authentic as you can come here in Ottawa. You'll experience the Asian version of "soul food"- warm, filling and comforting - even down to the decor. As a former Canadian resident in Seoul, it's always a good sign when Korean expats are frequent diners.

The Gamjatang is the best in the city. I lived in Korea for two years and have been to every Korean resturant in this city many times over. The gamjatang is the best in the city in my opinion if you like your Korean stews deep, thick and spucy.
