My boyfriend and I had a difficult time finding the restaurant, but when we did we were blown away at the decor and atmosphere. The tables we were seated at were a little too close together to other customers for my liking, so I requested to move to another more private table, and the staff were more than happy to accommodate. The staff were fast, attentive, and very friendly. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. As my boyfriend and I were getting up to leave the two men who were hosting bowed to us and smiled. That simple gesture topped off our night, I would definitely go back!
The atmosphere was fantastic - the decor is amazing. Certainly doesn't feel like you are in Oakville!
The service is incredibly slow - plan to buy drinks by the bottle otherwise you will be sitting with (if you are lucky) just water for long periods of time.
The service was really fast and I went on a Friday night so it was a pleasent suprise. The atmosphere is my faovurite very intimate. It is nice to have such a beautiful place not have rediculous prices.

Service was inconsisent but friendly. Reservations were unorganized. Atmosphere and decore was quite enjoyable-- casual yet expensive. I will be going again!

Beautiful decor, good food, indifferent service (my husband had to walk around to find a waiter at one point). The only weird thing was the drinks - the martinis (lychee and pomegranate) were good but the mojito came in a martini glass without any mint leaves and the white wine was warm and served in a glass tumbler. Overall, considering the small number of restaurants in downtown Oakville, this is a reasonably good find as the food itself is tasty.
My friend and I waited 20 minutes and finally went to front desk and asked to be served. Selection of appetizers for 2 consisted mainly of tofu. Mango salad very small compared to other Thai establishments and mango very chunky. Had to ask for cutlery as none at our table - waitress never provided any. Service very very slow. Not a nice dining experience. Decor was lovely!!

I made a reservation 2 weeks in advance, called to confirm 3 days before and everything was fine! The night before my reservation (Friday the 20th) they called to say they couldn't accommodate the reservation! Extremely disorganized.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the Thai food was very good. However, we were very disappointed with the service. We had read the reviews about the awful service and thought it could not be that bad. Well, we were wrong as the service was so pathetic. It did spoil the evening a little as we were so frustrated.

the service was pretty terrible. as said in other reviews, we had multiple waitresses who had to be flagged down, the wait for a drink order was awfully long, we arrived at 7:00 & couldn't leave until 10:30 because everything took so long. on the other hand, it has a beatiful decor and the food was very good so i will give it another try.
Have visited Bahn Thai numerous times. Food, service, quality, always superb whether lunch or dinner, twosome or large group. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend this restaurant for authentic Thai cuisine (try the Glass Noodle Chicken and Sweet Basil Beef). Leave room for the fried banana and mango ice cream dessert.

A wonderful evening with fabulous food. We will definitely be returning. The ambiance is welcoming with phenomenal decor. The bathrooms proved a bit tricky, (there are pocket doors!) but once we realised how to lock them we were all set! There should be more restaurants like this one.
Went to the new Oakville Location this past Saturday night! The food was excellent, the decor incredible.

We had the Phad Thai, BBQ Beef, Garlic Shrimp, Green Chicken Curry. It was all so good we ordered 2nd's of some dishes.
The decor was sumptuous.

all of the dishes were very tasty
