My friends and i loved to come to this restaurant...

My friends and i loved to come to this restaurant in the summer, sit on the patio and have a meal and some drinks. We started to come every wednesday for about 4 months and everytime we came the service was terrible. We usually had to wait about 10 -15 mins for a waitress to come and them about 40 for our food. Our fav food was the thunder crunch meal and i found that everytime it would taste different ,some times awsome and sometimes very bland, you just never knew...i must say though that the waitresses are very friendly just needs better service

I wish the restaurant was a tad bigger, maybe it would be time to get a bigger building? You guys bring in alot of people and its always packed when Im there, or maybe its just me, I bring in the crowds?

Great location, friendly professional staff, cold...

Great location, friendly professional staff, cold beer and mighty tasty food! Excellent value. We will definitely be coming back here next time we're in Fergus. Maybe sooner.

The food is always familiar and tastes like home...

The food is always familiar and tastes like home. Be prepared for some non-traditional dishes such as fried bologna and brown beans for bruch. Would recommend the Goofy Newfie for homecooking and good beer.

Like Newfoundland herself, the “Goofy Newfie” is...

Like Newfoundland herself, the “Goofy Newfie” is out of the way, precariously perched above the rocky shores of the Grand River. It’s primarily a bar, with food being pretty much an afterthought. On my first visit I ordered some sort of chowder, while my friend ordered the soup-of-the-day (something cream based). The two bowls looked very similar when they arrived, so I can see how the waitress screwed up, giving me the soup-of-the-day and my friend the chowder. It wasn’t until we had both started eating that we realized we had each other’s bowl. By then it was too late though—we aren’t that good of friends. :/ We continued eating and it turned out ok. The (not hot enough) soup tasted good and my chicken Caesar was pretty pub-average. Didn't have beer, but next time, that's all I'll get. :)
