I love Teddy's strawberry pie. Unfortunately, todays piece had a gross fruit fly with stripes down its back.
This fruit fly was large. Large enough that I had originally thought it part of the hull of the strawberry.
I did call Teddy's and they offered a credit toward a piece of pie in the future. Which is nice, but I will be checking every piece of pie I eat from there.
Normally the food is great and the service is great. We love going to Teddy's regularly in Oshawa. The last 3 times we have been there over a 2 month span; the waitress does not have a decent personality to serve people. I noticed her name is Josie. The waitress threw the menus on the table. I informed her I have 2 children. She asked what ages and I told her 12 and 8. She would not let my 12 year old have her own coloring sheet with the puzzles and crosswords which my 12 year old enjoys. My 8 year old shared his sheet with her.
Then the waitress went by hit our table with her hand plus hit my chair.
When my husband first took me to your restaurant I was impressed with both the food and the service. Lately the waitresses seem like it is just a job for them and they do not enjoy the public.
I work at Sears where they showed me the video "Give them the pickle". It is all over a pickle that the restaurant took away from a dinner. The customer explained he always enjoyed the pickle. This is what made this customer go back.
I have no complaints about your food however the service lately is getting terrible. A smile from the waitresses and a friendly personality makes all the difference in the world. Especially when word of mouth is the best type of Advertising.

We did not eat-in,we ordered out. None the less, The service on the phone was very rude,they don't let you get a word in edgewise,and they sound like a recording.I told her I have a delivery service picking it up in about a half hour, and they don't have anything to keep it warm.This is very unsanitary.I have worked in restaurants before for a number of years and am currently taking a food handlers course,and know for a fact that when hot food sits for more than 30 minutes at room temperature,it is a breeding ground for bacteria.If this restaurant is too busy that people don't have the time to communicate with people to let them know these things,then maybe they should be hiring more staff,and buy a heat lamp which I'm guessing would only cost a hundreds bucks.
