This place has since moved to 86 Dalhousie Street and has been renamed 'Pantry Cafe'. I had seen this place multiple times and decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! The place is really big, with ample room for moving and sitting. When you first walk in, there are really comfortable couches, with newspapers available, it is a great lounging area! The tables are cute and are far away from each other to allow for some privacy when dining. The menu selection is great! There are tons of items to choose from, and everything is made fresh.They have everything from omelettes to sandwiches to coffee and ice cream. I chose the chicken bruschetta panini with ceasar salad. The cost isn't too bad, only about $10, but it was well-worth it! I sat down and had to wait, maybe about 8 minutes, and the dish came. The server apologized as she had forgotten that they didn't have any croutons for my salad, so she gave me extra bacon, what a great touch! The bacon was good too, it wasn't that processed stuff, it was actually real bacon. The sandwich was AMAZING! It had cheese, lettuce, tomato, pesto sauce, and mayonnaise; the chicken was nice and moist, it was hot (temperature wise) and crunchy. The service is amazing as well, all of the people who work there are friendly and kind. I will definitely be back and I highly recommend you all try this place, you won't be disappointed! Lire plus

This is the closest Brampton will get to having a little taste of Britain. It is the best fish and chip I have had since back home. The cod light batter and chip are to die for. Their chicken pot pies and chip are also a good bet for those who don't like fish. The breaded chicken strips are amazing as well, you can get alone with chips or in a wrap. The menu is very extensive for a fish and chip place. Beats Heritage Fish and Chip by far. Gott's the fish is fresh, bigger and more value for your $$$. The service is good, the employees know their stuff and make recommendations if you are not sure. I have been many many many times and the service and the food is always the same - really good! Went in for lunch with the girlfriend the other day, service was excellent, and the food was great!! their menu covers all bases...I had The Good Morning Burger, which has bacon, cheese, a fried egg and a hashbrown! My girlfriend had buffalo chicken wrap, which she said was delicious!! Visited this restaurant for the first time on Saturday afternoon after driving by several times and not even realizing that it was really there (found it on restaurantica). We all shared a bunch of appetizers which were all great (huge portions so we took a lot of food home) and then my husband and I split the clubhouse and a burger. The burger was the best that I had ever had, and the clubhouse was great. I was with a party of 5 and we were all totally shocked by the huge portions that we received. The service was extremely friendly and speedy and we were made to feel like we were right at home. The server even wrote out a list of their daily specials for us so that we would know for the next time we came back. The place was super busy and I can see why. I have a feeling that this will turn into our new local spot for dinner and drinks. Great atmosphere with cliental that seemed to be from toddler right through to the elderly and prices are extremely reasonable.. for all of the food we ordered it probably would have cost double anywhere else! I've visited this little sub and ice cream shop many times and it always has me feeling very satisfied, and warm inside cause I was able to help out a small mom and pop shop. The man working here, whom I've yet to get his name is a vibrant heat warming fella'. Very friendly, makes you feel like a regular. The food, great! I can't believe anyone would rate this place poorly, for what it is its FANTASTIC. I've tried almost all the subs on the menu, my most recent visit I got the rib sub for myself, loaded it up with all the toppings, made a huge mess eating it and loved every minute of it. Its places and eats like this that make life all worth while, yes its a big statement I know but its truly a gem. Something has to be done right to get consistent high ratings. I was shocked to see someone write a poor review on this place knowing full well what they were getting into. These are the comfort foods that are hard to come by in this day and age with big franchised companies saturating the industry. From street meat to racks of lamb, I've had it all and this place gets my approval! I will be coming back and I'm bringing a crowd. Wheres Anthony Bourdain when you need him? p.s. My husband and I are so lucky there is a restaurant in Fonthill of the calibre of Zest. It is as good as a "Toronto" fine dining. The service is wonderful from the time you enter the front door, and until you leave. There have been times I've been thrilled with the menu, and other times not so much, but still be able to find something that pleased me well. My only criticism, people who have Celiac disease really get left sitting by the curb. Although at Zest they make an effort for those of us who need a gluten free dinner, other steps could be taken. If there are appetizers that are served with bread, rice crackers could be substituted for gluten free diners. Also, there is a wonderful gluten free bakery in Chipawa, that makes wonder bread and glutten free cakes.They even deliver to Fonthill. I just wish more restaurants would educate themselves in gluten free dining. It's not rocket science, and more people by the day are being diagnosed. When my husband and I want to celebrate, we go to Zest. I'm thinking of holding our 25th Anniversary Party at Zest, and inviting 30 of our friends. I know, Zest would not let us down. Lire plus

Visited Claudio's with family last night for our 25th Anniversary dinner. Every detail was perfect from the greeting at the door by the owners/chef, the private table, the attentive service and last but not least, the amazing food. Some really nice touches such as bringing out a few bottles of recommended wines for us to choose from. Our waiter, Ignatio suggested that he bring out a tasting plate of chef Kristina's beef shortrib stuffed ravioli for all of us to try. Great suggestion! It was one of the tastiest raviolis I have eaten. We all thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine and overrall dining experience. My boyfriend and I just came back from dinner after finally making a trip into this hidden gem. We live in the area and always walk by and promised ourselves we'd make our way in at one point or another. We are huge on trying out new restaurants for great food and great service. We often dine out at 5 star restaurants and Grano Ristorante is now in our top 5. It is a cozy, dimly lit restaurant with welcoming and attentive staff. Our servers were well-knowledged in not only their menu, but in Italian cuisine overall. They were a delight! My boyfriend ordered the gnocchi which could only be described as out of this world! It had this perfect light texture and feel as the ricotta gnocchi just melted in your mouth. The chicken marsala was a light blend of savoury and sweet, perfect to the last bite. The food is served hot and fresh which makes a great deal of a difference when dining out. I can't wait for my next stop inside, or for an order to go. I go here fairly regularly because this place does it up right. It's not a huge place and gets packed fairly easily, so there have been times when I simply haven't gotten in, but you snooze you lose. It is in an old victorian style home, taking up both floors. Downstairs seats a few tables and the main bar, while upstairs hosts a more casual atmosphere of games, chairs, etc....like you are in someones home. Decor is eclectic and funky, provides a nice touch to the visit. Service is always good to above average, the staff are trained well, know their beers well enough, and are always smiling. I've eaten here too many times to mention, but the wings are great, as is the cajun catfish sandwich. The wings are a great portion and the sauces are excellent. The catfish sandwich is spicy,savoury, very flavourful, well portioned, and well priced. I like that they have Boneshaker on tap on a regular basis. In fact, they only serve craft beer which speaks to the quality of the establishment. Clientele is a mix of somewhat obnoxious college hipsters and hippies that think they are re-living Woodstock for some reason, but I don't have to like them to like the place. Keep up the great work! I have never been to their restaurants and wanted to take in the atmosphere including the gorgeous ladies in their tight skirts. It was a disappointment to step into this location after all the promise and be shown to the booth. The staff is dressed very much as you would expect at any chain restaurant. This is not the promise. Too bad. The food was good, but since Earls charges more than the average I expect the staff and ambience to be excellent too. I am not sure what else to say. No miniskirts, no low cut blouses, nothing. The chicken was good and quite honestly the place was super clean. It's just that we were looking for the Earls experience as stated here and we didn't get it here. We didnt bother ordering drinks as this location doesn't really invite lounging. My wife and I both now love "The Duck". I had the pizza and wings and I was not disappointed. They are both easily the beat I've ever eaten this side of the border. The wings are large and crispy and the pizza has a nice thin crust and tons of cheesy goodness. My wife had the Blue Cheese Burger and when it arrived we both marveled at how massive the homemade patty was. She also couldn't stop commenting on how great the homemade blue cheese sauce and handcut fries were. The service was great (the waitress was hilarious and had us both in stitches) and they we're also showing the hockey game on a huge TV in HD! It was Wednesday and I was looking for something to eat for lunch, i saw Downtown Cafe while i was strolling around and decided to get their food special , which had been the Roast beef on a bun. The total came close to $10 with the drink, a pretty pricey meal for a coffee shop. This is such a comfy cozy place, and has free wireless internet access. I come here a lot for coffee, serve myself, stand at the counter to pay, and read the paper while I sit right by the window to drink it. I ate there once, but I can't remember what I had. Have been a regular at Ami for a couple years now and let me tell you they have yet to let me down. We usually order nigiri sushi and rolls. The nigiri is the best you will find in Oakville hands down. The piece of fish you get is twice the size of the rice making it a very generous portion. I have eaten at at least 10 other sushi joints in town and prefer Ami nigiri any day. The staff is amazing and they even deliver.
