Today we went in to visit the hospice as we prepare for my fathers near end of life. I cannot tell you how amazing this place seems. Literally the staff seem like living angels. We are requesting with our palliative team to have my father spends his last months here and we hope he can. I was at peace the moment I walked in

It’s a hard decision when placing a loved one in LTC facility. Main St Terrace is an old building, but what they lack in aesthetics they make up for with incredible staff. . I am astounded as to how well my mom is doing there. She’s happy, benefits from the interaction, she’s safe. With my mom’s dementia there is no way I could provide the same level of care, meals, hygiene, nursing, dr visits, physiotherapist, sensory games, outings, health, safety & security. My mom is hzppy & doing well

Everything about this service was exemplary. The staff was helpful in every possible way. The volunteers were wonderful. All services were completed with an abundance of kindness and highly respectful of the intimate nature of the service provided. We, as a family, felt welcome to use the home as our own. While in a Retirement Home in Oshawa my Brother-in-law required a lot of extra care as he waited for a Long Term Care Home. We reached out to Tammy at HomeWell Senior Care in Ajax. Two PSWs were assigned to him as he required care 12 hrs per day 7 days a week.
Pauline and Angele were amazing, they treated him like family. We could not have asked for better and reassuring care. We would definately use HomeWell Senior Care again for a loved one

My father spent a week at Carpenter Hospice before peacefully passing. He had been ill at home for quite some time and then had a fall and was taken to the hospital, where he stayed for 10 days. Although the hospitsl staff did their best for my Dad, the difference between the care and atmosphere from the hospital to the hospice was truly remarkable. Carpenter House was a blessing for my Dad and our entire family. The kind and caring nurses, PSWs and volunteers made his last days comfortable.
