I met Jacob last year at a wedding show where I was completely impressed with his catering samples. From then I knew I needed to go to the Port City Royal to get a taste of his dining menu. Jacob did not disappoint the food and the service was amazing.
The restaurant is rustic and quaint, lighting to suit the ambiance and perfect back ground music. Basically all the atmosphere to have the perfect date night.

Coming from experience I have to tip my hat to the chef's at Italian by Night. Might I suggest you agree as a group to make your choices with sharing in mind as there is just to much to choose from. An additional bonus was a real wine list which means no sign of the same ol' same ol' typical wines of most uptown restaurants. Fantastico!

Met my friends for a lovely supper visit. Pleasantly welcomed upon arrival, Jason was our server and did a great job. Very clever and attentive, knowledgeable and just fun. I enjoyed the Asian stir fry which was beautifully presented, hot and delicious. My friends totally enjoyed their meals as well. We just had a great fun evening. Certainly will return again. This store always has all my basic needs at reasonable prices. Only complaint is that once in a while a bad food product will slip through onto the shelves. But the staff usually catches it and removes the sale of the product. And they have very friendly clerks!

Highly overated food, I've never been happy with my meal, but I'm very picky and others that I dine with seem to always love it. It's never terrible, but I've never been blown away either, and there always seems to be a problem of some sort, you probably don't eat like me so I'm sure you'll enjoy it, if you are like me just get a burger, you won't hate it. The atmosphere is the best in town and the beer selection is out of this world. I certainly recommend going there before a night on the town

PROS-- Best cupcakes I've ever had. Pictures of the cakes they make are Truly works of art. They have a great variety of wonderfully delicious flavours. Did a good job designing their building. Nice helpful staff! CONS--- price. $14 for 6 cupcakes. Seriously?? I mean I buy them as a treat but it's an extravagant treat. Location. Uptown- very little parking, awkward to get to, need to pay for parking, etc. I usually avoid uptown at all costs but have made a few rare exceptions to go there for a treat.
