i need to have my jerk fix at least once a week and this is the best spot in Mississauga - trust me i've tried everything. don't expect the best service or atmosphere - that's not because they are rude or not nice, just seems like a lot of people are going in and out. Also, a few times they've mixed up my order, so make sure they get it exactly right. I've also noticed a few times they over salted, but that's a few times in the many many times i've been there. It was a foggy Friday 'nite & RIGHT after seeing the first 02 reviews, I ventured out w' my dog. Luckily it was not packed. I met 02 regulars & they said the place is usually packed on Fridays--maybe the fog is keeping them away. Can you believe this guy has been here for over 30 years & I thought I had tried each and every fish and chip place in Mississauga. One previous review commented on the excellent batter and I thought, no way, batter always has an after taste....nope....no after taste. This is the best fish and chips that I've ever tried in Toronto. (I went there on the advice of a friend and would have never have gone here without that recommendation). It's a very unassuming place, with fairly drab surroundings. But the fish is top notch, with large portions at a good price. I don't really know what else to say besides that. I've never been inside, but they sometimes have a girl outside with a table of foil take-out dishes around dinner time, all for 3 dollars. It's one of the best values in Chinatown, just take it home and make your own rice. fast, convenient and I've never had anything I didn't like. Great food, always fresh. I like it better then KFC imo. There’s been time I went to KFC in Midland near closing time and picked up chicken and you can tell the chicken was fried a while ago, it was dry as ice ? .. Dixie Lee’s chicken is always fresh. Their fries and gravy are awesome, and the macaroni salad is amazing. Try it out, you won’t be disappointed. Plus the chicken pieces are a good size. It’s a 5/5 ⭐️ in my books. Lire plus

Love this place! My husband and I were looking for good fish and chips and we were quite satisfied. I dont really care what the place looks like on the inside as long as it is clean. They have a sign saying the health department has been there and checked the place out and they passed so thats alright in my books. I think some people are a little dramatic on here. I thought the portion size was perfect, So did my husband who is a large eater. How much food does one person really need? it is a bit pricey but it's worth it for a treat once in a while! Lire plus

My wife and I used to dine here more often in the past but I went back recently and was reminded me why we like it so much. The owners, John and Molly are very friendly and make some of the best doubles and vegetarian rotti's that we've ever had. We mainly go there for the vegetarian cusine. My mom and I and my 2 boys went early on a Sat. night, I was very pleased with the service, the decor, the menu, we both got the roast beef and the shrimp appetizer, both were awesome, the shrimp were huge, the meat cooked to perfection to what we had asked for, yorkshire pudding, fresh vegetables cooked right, homemade mashed potatoes, the boys ate of the kids menu which I was surprised they even had as it looks fine dining when you walk in, the chicken fingers and fries were delicious. The waiters treated us very kindly and were very attentive, when they found out it was my birthday dinner they brought out cake and sang, when we were leaving the place was packed, perhaps an upscale crowd judging by the fancy cars in the parking lot, they also have a separate lounge and outdoor patio, both very nice and comfortable and a sign that said free h'ors doeurves from 4 - 6 during the week, I'm definitely going back and would highly recommend this restaurant.
