We ate at Rosie's on Robson while on vacation in Vancouver. We stayed at the Westin a few blocks up the street the location seemed convenient. Rosie's markets itself as a British pub style eatery with a good selection of draught beer. When we got seated at our table, the temperature was very warm. The staff claimed the air conditioning at the maximum level but we found that hard to believe. The decor also appeared to be quite outdated. When our food arrived, the veggie burger was found to be slightly under-cooked. The spring rolls were very good but the portion size was small (2 rolls cut into halves). My bruschetta was very good and the portion was decently sized. Although the restaurant was not terrible, I would not recommend it due to the quality of the food and the atmosphere. Lire plus

What a wonderful place for lunch this past weekend! We sat on the small, yet sunny patio out front and loved it. The Gooey Cheese Griller sandwich, the vegetarian sandwich, the spinach salad and french onion soup were wonderful. So yummy! And on Saturday's sangria pitchers are on special...and they were good! Not too juice tasting/sweet like most other places. The only downfall I would say is the bathroom - it was not very clean and wasn't a great way to end lunch! Northern Vietnamese cuisine. I have tried their other location but happen to be in the area. We came here right at 11am opening so lots of tables to choose from. Only one hour street parking close or just drive two blocks in on the side streets and no time limit. We enjoyed the mango salad, pyramid rice dumpling filled with pork and mushrooms - nice smooth rice texture, deep fried crab meat rolls and ‎the traditional Vietnamese sandwich. If there is a heaven, I hope to God Mon Petit Choux is the caterer. I'm pretty sure I could easily live out the rest of my natural life at a table in the corner - and easily slip into the next life completely satisfied. Why is it so divine, you ask? Well, for starters it's a French bakery and that's just about all you need to know. These people can do things with pastries that will make you forget you ever knew of the word diet - seriously look at the pictures! I started with the quiche, moved onto this divine pizza pastry, tried just about all of my friends pastries and finished off with a cappuccino. Then I went back to my hotel room and slept off the carb sins. I did not repent, nor do I ever plan to. One small word of warning for people with allergies though. The kitchen is not separate from the dining room and the air is filled with flour and sugar. Within 15 min of being inside my eyes were itchy and watering - but my companions who don't have allergies were fine. Oh, and we smelled like pastries for the rest of the day - which isn't necessarily a bad thing :-) Lire plus

This place is the hottest freshest fast food in Nanaimo. Honestly, no one else serves food this good anywhere else. My spinach burrito was out of this world.
