Our furnace broke in the middle of the night on CHRISTMAS and Brendan took the call at 1am. Vince came out to do the repairs in the morning and he was friendly, patient and reassuring. He clearly set out the expectations, pricing and committed to doing his best to get us up and running. Vince diagnosed the problem quickly and completed the repair on site. No air and it was Canada day weekend during a very bad heatwave. I called J&S not really thinking anyone would get back to me until after the holiday. Was pleasantly surprised when Ryan called me back and although he had a lot of calls he would get me in the next day, holiday Monday. Ryan was pleasant and punctual, so even though he did not have much of a holiday my husband and I can’t thank him enough

Boy can you tell when a buisness has experience, from the moment I called to when the basement was pumped out, sewer unpluged, furnace and hot water tank replaced and some drainage changed.
Some of these smaller outfits charge more than a professional one.

Called for a repair/inspection as my evaporator coil was icing up, and asked to confirm that if low refrigerant was the problem that they could top up with R22. Technician phoned back and indicated they had no R22 in stock (no longer manufactured), and explained some other indicators of low refrigerant. Thoroughly explained options and I highly recommend them for their diligence and explanation of options.

The fan on our furnace died so our air conditioning stopped. We phoned A1 Air Conditioning and Heating. They came out the next day and had it fixed in a few hours. Excellent service. I’d highly recommend them to anyone.

Hi, I have used Ultra Comfort in Mississauga 2 different times now and have been extremely happy on both occurrences. The first time was for our home furnace/ac and the second was for a gas fireplace. Their prices are very reasonable and affordable plus their service is GREAT. We had our heat pump fail on New Years a couple of years ago. Called one company who came out and took out a part that was causing the heat pump to fail. So he hooked up so our electric furnace would keep us warm. It did of course, but we then used a lot more electricity- enough that the Hydro company called because our bill/usage had skyrocketed.
Unfortunately, this company didn't deal with replacing a heat pump. We found one dealer who came out and said a particular part was kaput, so we needed to replace the furnace and the heat pump. and gave us a price.
At that point, we figured if it was the whole system to replace, we should check out another quote. So one of the companies we called was Grand River. Bill came out assessed the situation. He found that that part could have been replaced for a lot less than the whole new system.
In the end, we did replace the whole system, partly because there were government incentives at the time which gave us about a $1000 in rebates. And we appreciated Bill's honesty and expertise.
Our system was over 20 years old and the heat pump compressor was not in the best of shape.
