Took my boyfriend for his birthday lunch on 01 Feb and ordered off the Winterlicious menu. Each course was perfectly presented and just right, portion-wise. When dessert came, they had put a candle on his plate along with "Joyeux Anniversaire" written in chocolate along the edge. A very nice touch! I came to Michael's for the first time looking for an amazing steak and thats exactly what I got! The service is amazing, food is truly top notch and the wines are out of this world. The owner and management are one of a kind and are willing to go the extra mile to make the customer happy. Would give this establishment a 5 star out of 5 star because I could not find any flaw. We went to a late dinner (girls night out). Our server was great super nice. The belly dancers we awesome!!! They pulled us onto the dance floor with them, It was a good entertaining night in the city. Mind you the food was only Good for the price $$$$ 65 dollars just for me and I had no drinks with that:( big time downer. Atmosphere was great though. Big bench like table areas with pillows. Nice! I received a gift ceritificate to this restaurant as a welcome to Belleville present and it was BY FAR the best thing given to me since my family and I relocated here. We had the best experience from entry to exit. The staff is so warm, welcoming and accommodating to our every need. They have an extensive wine selection (no other restaurant in town compares...trust me I've been to every one) I can't say enough good things about our experience here. I highly recommend Kipps Lane Fish n Chips! I was hard pressed to find a classic fish n chip joint such as I had adored as a teen in Toronto in the mid 1970s. A true, halibut fish, hand filleted with the classic, puffed up batter and golden fries is a rare treat to still find these days especially from a family owned and operated restaurant who are so friendly and who take pride in what they serve you.
