I was pleasently surprised with this hotel. Though it does look pretty from the outside it seemed to not be busy so i was hesitant on the service. The staff was wonderful and accomodating and the hotel was very quite which was great because I stayed there for 2 nights between flight changes. The rooms were clean and I had the luxury of getting a jacuzzi suite which was sensational and relaxing. The restaurant staff were not exactly on their toes but the food was very good. The complimentary breakfast in the morning is exactly what you need to start off your day (coffee, juice, muffins etc.) Lire plus

I love the new decor! My husband and I shared the Warm Salad special, which was fantastic. I had the Duo of Duck and my husband tried the special which was Beef Cheek. Both were really, really good. We ordered a nice bottle of wine, which was very reasonably priced. Service was attentive and professional, with just enough friendliness. We will definitely be back. Have been a regular at Ami for a couple years now and let me tell you they have yet to let me down. We usually order nigiri sushi and rolls. The nigiri is the best you will find in Oakville hands down. The piece of fish you get is twice the size of the rice making it a very generous portion. I have eaten at at least 10 other sushi joints in town and prefer Ami nigiri any day. The staff is amazing and they even deliver. I had a hankering for a fish and chips lunch one weekday and decided to search my GPS's "points of interest" for something local. English Bay came up as the closest place and I sure am glad it did. It's a small cozy feeling restaurant, probably about 12-16 seats, not too busy (11:30am). The service was attentive, and the Haddock fish and chips?... the best I've had to date. Oh yeah, the gravy was unique and also tasted great! I thought the meal was a little pricey but being small and in a plaza, I know that rents can be pretty steep, I guess that kind of justifies it. I have been meaning to write a review since November. I hadn’t been to Julia’s in a while and my husband and I were looking for a restaurant to take some friends from Toronto. After reading the reviews I was a little skeptical and thought perhaps something had changed since we last there. We decided to take out friends there anyway (on Saturday November 20) and couldn’t have had a more pleasant dining experience. The staff was friendly, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was very good. We enjoyed it so much that my husband and I went back there for New Years and had another evening of wonderful food and a cozy table. Every time I have been to this restaurant I have had a very positive experience and would not hesitate to recommend Julia’s to others. Lire plus
