After a relaxing visit from the spa downtown, my boyfriend took me here for dinner. It was a perfect end to a perfect day. We were greeted and served by an all-Japanese staff (family run business) in a somewhat shabby looking establishment with homemade fish advertisment signs galore.
We ordered the 10 piece nigiri set and were astounded by the high quality of each piece. My boyfriend loved the uni especially. We also ordered soft shell crab roll (dynamite!!), hamachi roll and temaki. High quality green tea too. We finished with mochi ice-cream. The place was packed with all Chinese people and I could hear one older couple speaking in Japanese.
I did feel badly for the lone Japanese man who ate a large meal to himself and got snickered and talked about by the waitresses and large party guests. Perhaps the waitresses were doing it in a friendly manner as it seemed he was a regular face to them--but still, it caused enough attention from other guests who started laughing too. Unprofessional to me, but the food will keep us coming back for more.

Favorite Toronto/GTA mall. Has kept some of the great older stores which is very appreciated. There is such a good variety of stores and options. Good restaurants, coffee shops, snack shops/kiosks, so you have choices besides the large food court. It has a nice layout. Has a movie theatre. Has friendly helpful Concierge. Upkept. It has outdoor seating for some restaurants and coffee shops. Keep it up Fairview!

During our present COVID-19 situation, Rosemary & Thyme made a traditional Turkey Dinner (all homemade) for its customers. This was particularly appreciated during the Easter Holiday where families could not get together but at least could share in the meal, albeit in their own homes. Meal was exquisite and rivaled any caterer in the city. Well done and your commitment to your customers will not go unnoticed. CHEERS ROSEMARY AND THYME! Jan
