You just have to talk to Salon One owner Philip Nazaruk for a few minutes to be assured that, with him, your hair will be in very good hands. It isn’t solely his decades of experience or his being trusted to look after the locks of celebrities and politicians. It’s a sense of discernment and economy that he conveys in everything from his choice of words to the products he stocks at his Church Street Salon One, opened in 2002.

Taking a look at his work, and the work of his business partner, Ahmad Zamany, and their team of stylists, you can see the years in Yorkville, Montreal and New York. Places where he says he picked up a lot of techniques. “It’s interesting to do international clients because I learn new techniques from elsewhere,” he smiles.“Language can be an issue but, with hair, there’s always a way of communicating.”

    Great hair cut

    Great salon , I was recommend by a friend and I have to tell it was the best hair cut I had!!!
