Seamstress can't cut straight!!

I had a maxi dress cut to a Hi-Low hem. It's totally uneven. One side is 4” longer than the other. She argued that it was cut right, that this type of fabric hangs funny, so I can't go by how it looks. It didn't look right, it needs to be fixed. She pinned it and as I'm checking it I see her grab her purse and leave. Tell the husband I want the front knee length and he says "it is". He sat on the floor and told me it looks long because I'm looking down at it. Took my dress and left.
