There are shoes, and then there are footwear solutions. Whether you have to walk one kilometre or 100, having the right gear can make a huge difference to the comfort and well-being of your feet. Brother and sister Jennifer and Jim Pelzel, co-owners of SAS Comfort Shoes, understand that there’s a lot involved in making good shoes and settled for nothing less when going into business together. The duo weren’t content to simply buy into a brand, but rather worked to become as familiar with everything as possible.
“We believe highly in the product,” Jennifer says. “We know the people who make them. We’ve been to the factory. We’ve made the shoes ourselves. We know what they put into them, the time that it takes to make a shoe. And we put our whole life on the line, we believe in the product that much.”
The leather of SAS Comfort Shoes is cut by hand and the seams are stitched with sewing machines instead of being churned out on an assembly line. “It’s all about the stitching and the products that they use to fasten together,” Jennifer says.
Thank you so much to the helpful staff at SAS. It was nice to have such good service, and I love my new shoes! I'd given up thinking I could find comfortable shoes for my hard to fit feet! I'll be back!
