Golden Mobile Spray Tan

There’s an episode of Friends where Ross gets a bad spray tan and ends up some awful combination of brown and orange. Leanne Rancier, founder of Golden Mobile Spray Tan says she’s spent her career fighting against that stigma. When she started out, Leanne researched a huge variety of spray solutions, “and if anyone ever said, ‘Oh, you look a little orange,’ I never used it again,” she says. The solution she eventually settled on is actually good for the skin, offering moisture, skin-firming components like vitamin E, aloe vera and green tea extract. Leanne has been silencing the skeptics ever since. When dealing with husbands and wives, notes Leanne, “the husbands always say, ‘I don’t want one, I don’t want one,' but when they see their wives, they always end up getting one."

The tans are customized to your skin tone and desired colour, from very subtle tans for those with fair skin to much darker ones for fitness models or body builders. But perhaps the most unique thing about Leanne’s business is the mobile aspect: she makes house calls. Clients can book appointments online and Leanne visits them at home, sets up a small tent and spray tans them. The whole process only takes about 20 minutes.
