Best Pakistani food in the GTA. A must go for all those who love South Asian cuisine. Also, the prices are so cheap and do not even do the food justice for the quality of it!

I went to Tabaq in Mississauga at the highway ten and Matheson location. It is easy to miss because it is tucked away from the road behind Mr Sub. I should have guess that the food was bad because every time I go by there it is always empty. We went in to order our food and the wait was very long as if they had nothing prepped because they hadn’t expected any customers. The service was less than friendly. We got our meal Byriani rice, Tikka Masala (their speciality) Nann and Sikh kebob. When we got home and opened up the container the chicken was floating in a container filled with oil! The kebobs were two measly pieces that were unseasoned and dry and tasted burnt. The nan was the worst I have ever had, hard and tough enough to be a door stopper and the rice was mediocre at best. We went back to the restaurant and demanded that it be re cooked waited again and returned home with the same problems. The food was terrible and I would never recommend it or go back.
The food portions were very small. The setting was in a food court which was quite noisy. They took our order and assigned a number. At a certain point (after 30 minutes or so) we heard our number and went to find out the food was completely cold. They said it was because we didnt pick it up 20 minutes ago when they said our number which we never heard. we were sitting quite close and they could have easily made sure we heard or given us the food. I pointed this out and the staff became extremely rude. I asked for the manager who was almost abusive!!! she said again and again "why would we call many times, when its in your advantage to listen", so we ended up eating small portions of cold bad food. WILL NEVER VISIT AGAIN.
I always order their Alo Pratha ( tandoori bread stuffed with seasoned beef and cooked in tandoori oven ) Unbelievable taste . The place is in a rundown food court , but their quality is A1 . I also tried their seekh kabab and liked it very much , reasonable prices but they tend to take forever to prepare your food ( they are extremely busy , may be that's why )
the breakfast special is only on for a 2 hour period, so you have to be there early or call ahead. i really like the halwa and the chickpeas, and i dont even like chickpeas. the kebabs are good and spicey but i like the breakfast better
