Staff are both unaware of specials, and not sympathetic at all to unhappy patrons. I’m really surprised that a chain like this doesn’t care about customer relations. Won’t ever go back to the Brockville Swiss Chalet.
Swiss Chalet Brockville should not be serving beef. Maybe not enough people order it. Ours was old. They should throw it out and serve some fresh beef. I always said you can never get a bad meal at swiss chalet. But this meal proved my statement wrong. The fries were also dried out and bits and pieces. I was quite disapointed. We were there Sunday Aug. 27.
Chain restaurants are frequented by a lot of people because they promise few surprises. One knows what one is going to get, and usually, one isn't disappointed.
The restaurant itself was clean, and the service friendly, albeit slow, even though the dining room was virtually empty since I ate at 3 pm.
The portion of the chicken dinner I ordered, however, was shockingly small. It looked like the leg of a quail rather than a chicken! Honestly, I ate the darn thing in 3 bites. I ate every last fry on the plate because I was HUNGRY.
The manager of this restaurant needs to find a better chicken supplier 'cause those birds are scrawny and tiny.
The sauce and roll were good, though. I'd go back, but seriously, I think I'd have no problem finishing a half-"chicken" dinner at this particular spot - and that's something I normally can't do.
