“What separates us from other kennels is that we just let dogs be dogs,” says Patrick Burr, whose family owns Northwest Kennels and Daycare. “We just let them go out and hang out in our three acres of country with other dogs.” With several huge, open areas and a number of smaller, controlled runs, Northwest Kennels and Daycare gives canines the chance to run around all day and socialize with other dogs, giving them a day full of physical and intellectual interaction instead of a long afternoon locked alone in a house, apartment or yard.
If the above sounds like too much of a dog’s life to you, don’t worry: Northwest Kennels and Daycare also welcomes cats.
“The cat room was easy,” laughs Patrick. “If a cat lives 15 years, it sleeps for 10 of those years, so we just had to find places where they can bask in the sun and relax, and keep the area as calm and relaxed as possible.”
Cats and dogs are equally at home in Northwest Kennels and Daycare, where visiting pets are treated to an experience custom-crafted for their needs and personality. Whether it’s the lounging luxury of the cat room or the frantic, high-energy play of some of the larger dog runs, each space at Northwest Kennels and Daycare is specifically designed to give animals the attention, space and level of activity they need for a healthy lifestyle.
